  • 06/01/16--19:29: Bsc in Biotech career scope
  • I passed my 12th boards last year(2015) with 92%. I gave AIPMT last year but I was getting a dental seat so I thought of trying again. This year because of the whole NEET fiasco I feel really apprehensive even though I am pretty sure of getting a seat in Dental course again.

I am interested in Biotechnology and I have enrolled myself in Lovely Professional University for BSc-Msc integrated Biotechnology course as a backup.

I just want to know whether there is enough scope for a Biotech student in India. If yes, then what is the starting package.

Also, will be better to opt for a Dental course or Bsc in Biotech?

I am really in a fix. Please help.

    Hello everyone ,
my name is Malay.I got AIR 22 with a score of 774 in GATE 2016.I'm gonna be sharing about my M Tech interview experience in IIT Bombay.Every yr the cut off for getting a call from IIT Bom is different.Last yr it was around 625 and this yr it was above 400 comparably lower than it's prev. yrs.I had applied for both Biomedical Engg and CESE (Environmental Engg.) and got a call from both. After u get a call, specified dates are provided for both Written tests and intervw in Biomed and for intervw only in CESE.I was more interested in Biomed. Engg and so, preferred it over CESE. The ques. in written tests are all objective type with 30 one mark ques. from Biology(mainly Human Physiology and some topics from Gate syllb.) and 15 two mark ques. from Maths with 1/3 -ve marking in each ques. The ques. are all conceptual based and quite easy. The results are mainly announced on the same day the test is beng held(after 4 hrs). The interviews are taken the next day of only them who cleared the written test.I had to wait 2 hrs before giving the intervw. In interview, at first they asked me 1. " tell something about yourself". 2. Why Biomed? 3. Asked me about my fav. sub. and ques. on that 4. Lastly, they gave me 2 equations and told to draw the curves x^2+y^2=25 and  y^2=e(-x).sinx.

Follow the CBSE NCERT text books for the written tests and prepare one or two sub. very well for the intervw.

    Hope it helps

  • Dear Sir,

I have completed MSC in biotechnology in 2005 and  I don't have any experience in this particular field. I have experience in exporting companies, BPO companies.

But now I would like to go to abroad or gulf countries. So can you suggest me any short term job oriented course through which i can apply for a secure job in hospitals, or in any medical companies in abroad.

  • 06/09/16--23:34: Work Experience before MBA
  • Work experience is one of the most significant factors in the practical life. Several employers prefer hiring those individuals who have had work experience as this helps in understanding if the particular candidate has the ability to handle crunch situations and be part of their corporate world.

In order to gain experience, MBA classes helps in diverse ways to gain experience about the practical world. MBA classes come into play in the sense that such type of classes mainly comprise of individuals who are working professionals and are out in the world to make a name for themselves. They come to MBA classes to not only attain a degree but also to share their experiences about their job life with other individuals. As many individuals who come for MBA classes are full-time working professionals, they do not get enough time to complete their assignments. This results in their assignments piling up and leading to the issue of not submitting on time.

For this purpose, there are services that offer the student with the benefit of completing their assignments for them. One such writing service is UK Assignment Writers that provides the student with the option of completing their assignments for them for a certain fees. Many MBA students utilize these services to finish their assignments on time.

Attaining an MBA degree also helps in getting the kind of job that an individual dreams of. The team work that takes place in an MBA class among diverse cultures, personal and professional background provides the base for individuals in understanding that what is required from them and how they have to behave in the practical world.

It is highly recommended that once the student has attained his bachelor’s degree, he should move ahead and start working. This will help him in gaining work experience and getting a taste of the practical world. Furthermore, it should also be noted that recently business schools have started to enroll those individuals that have work experience with them. The main reason of this new concept is that it would allow the business school management to assess if the student is worth their time or will they have to work hard on him for his degree.

Individuals need to understand that opting for Master’s Degree after doing Bachelors will not earn them any place in any of the reputed business schools. Work experience matters a lot and therefore, it is important that students opt for getting as much work experience as possible. This will allow them to settle in the practical world as well as help their case in getting an admission in the business school anywhere in the world.

    Dear all,

I am a fresher and a M.Sc Biochemistry and Molecular biology pass out from Pondicherry University. I have deep financial concerns and I require a job immediately to make my both ends meet. I am interested in jobs in the pharma, food and beverages industry but I have seen that they are mostly inclined towards recruiting experienced professionals and if not, towards B.pharm/M.pharma candidates.

Some of the companies also demand additional qualifications in the fields of QA& QC, clinical data management, pharmacovigilance. These courses are really too expensive for me & financially difficult to pursue them.

I will be grateful if someone advice me on how to overcome the current situation.  Huh Sad
