Job Description
Reporting to the SVP Business Development, the Director will drive the "go to market" strategy for the US East Coast in order to achieve the short and long term business goals. The responsibilities will include:
Prospecting, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients for pharmaceutical and biotech companies
Developing and implementing the sales strategy for each targeted territory
Optimizing the short term performance and long term growth
Develop and execute specific marketing initiatives aligned to broader business objectives
Developing direct and indirect sales
Implementing and monitoring a sales and marketing plan for the US East Coast territory
Keeping key customers informed on upcoming programs or services
The Successful Applicant
Our ideal candidate:
5 years' experience in a Business Development / Sales function
Must have a solid background in the Healthcare market (a relevant university degree and industry experience)
A minimum of a Scientific Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
International experience preferred
Knowledge of and existing network in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology space on the US East Coast
Strong entrepreneurial skills
Creative thinking
Flexible, hard worker and committed to results
Experience dealing with senior management of different cultural backgrounds would be of added value
Ability to discuss and negotiate with C level contacts
