Career after M.Tech in Biotechnology

Dear Sir,

I have read somewhere on this website that after completing M.tech in Biotechnology, candidate can get job into IT companies as an associate consultant. So what is the job profile for life science students into IT companies and how I can get through? Help me with some links if possible.
