BTech in Industrial Biotechnology India living at SRI LANKA

I want to know if I can work in microbiology Lab/molecular biology lab at Hospitals?

Can I also work as a lab assistant in medical lab? does it relate to my work. 

And please suggest me some career options. I am 2010 passed out in Btech Industrial Biotechnology.
